School Programs
The Halton County Radial Railway offers curriculum-based
education programs to elementary students in grades one through
four. Each two-hour program includes fun, interactive activities
focusing on train safety, simple machines, streetcar mechanics,
and of course the two kilometre (approximately 20 minutes)
rides on our restored historic streetcars. Special Needs Groups,
Nursery Schools and Day Camps are welcomed. Programs can be
tailored to suit group needs.
Programs are offered weekdays from May to October. A maximum
of 30 students is recommended, larger groups may be accommodated
upon request. Teachers, bus drivers, and chaperones receive
free admission. Washroom and picnic facilities are also available,
and some areas of the museum are wheelchair accessible. Phone
ahead to arrange a hot dog lunch!
